Jim and I each take Lovastatin. He used to take the 40 mg (that's what I take) and had some problems with his muscles..his doctor reduced his prescription to 20 mg. and he has had no problems since. I am unaware of any problems stemming from my taking Lovastatin. Happy Sunday! :) ((hugs))

You're welcome Excalibur. I also take Fosamax and have for a few years with only temporary minimal side effects. I've known some people who could not take it. I'm lucky that I can tolerate meds as well as I can. :)
