  • It will more than likely depend not only on the airline you have booked with, but the type of ticket. (In my experience in the UK) Many airlines will sell cheap tickets but will stipulate that no cancellations are allowed, as such, you've got the ticket so you either use it or lose the money. More expensive tickets often allow cancellations but there may be a cancellation fee. Assuming you have booked the tickets in your daughters' names, I would expect that you would have to cancel them, accept whatever refund you get, then book new ones for yourself. However you should have been given some information about cancellation etc with the booking so you really need to look at that stuff because it would be almost impossible for any of us to give you a definitive answer to your question.   • In my experience most tickets are non refundable and not transferable. But I buy a lot of tickets over the internet. Check your ticket and see what it says. If you can get a refund, go for it. You will lose some $ but hopefully not all. Airlines are getting pretty picky and dont want to surrender profit they have already made.
