Your stuck on a deserted island and have two choices, all the water you can drink, or another person to keep you company. Which one do you choose?

All the water I can drink, becuase if you don't have water, you'll die within a month because you'll get dehydrated. With another person, you just get company, no water or food(except if that person dies before you and you decide to eat him).

The water, having a companion is no good when he's died of thirst. However dying alone would be terrible so the companion would be useful.

Speaking in evolutionary terms, my survival is imperative if I'm going to pass on my genes, so evolutionarily (i think i made that word up) speaking, I would choose water. But I think I'd rather take the company and try my hand at finding my own water!

A companion with a plastic sheet with him...dig a hole in the ground put some sort of collecting container(such as half coconut shell)in the bottom...plastic sheet over the top with a rock in the centre to weigh it down into the hole and evaporating moisture from the ground will drip down into your container. Much quicker and more holes with a companion to help.

The water. If you choose the person, and you run out of water, you BOTH die. If you choose the water, you have a chance at surviving and the person you wanted to take with you will be somewhere else, and they may give you an even stronger will to survive in order to get back to them.

Do you know what happens to a person as they die of dehydration? Painful and yucky. Unless I had some way to purify the water around me (it is an island, after all), I would go for the water. And that is saying alot because I am not good at being alone.
