Waffle = Pancake + extra equipment

Great question! I think it's just easier to make pancakes .. you don't need a special "gadget" like a waffle iron.

It's easier to make pancakes. You don't need a special waffle maker.

BTW, IHOP is another pancake chain.

I would suppose because pancakes are so easy to make, you can make them from scratch fairly easily.

I like the frozen waffles. But as others on here have mentioned, it is easier to make the pancakes. +5

i like waffles more than pancakes... i think waffles are more popular. i don't think theres a resturant chain called the pancake house.... there might be idk.

That's the companies choice not consumers lol. I am a chef, and believe me when waffles are offered on a menu, many people pick them over pancakes. Mine at least lol. That's cause mine are the best!

Pancakes are easier to eat. They absorb the syrup better. Waffles are often crunchy and often get over cooked. Pancakes are soft and thick and spongey. sometimes I have a waffle. I cut it up in quarters and eat it like toast. Pancakes I like to smother with butter and real maple syrup. a couple over medium eggs and there is nothing better.
