Well, the cliched old "soul mate" term is, I guess, the only one around for what it means. Yeah, I guess. Yoko Ono was John Lennon's soul mate.
-
Well the question isn't whether or not they can have one. The question is whether or not they believe that they have one. Nobody really knows that soul mates (or souls for that matter) exist. An atheist could have a soul mate but not believe in a soul. That just means that the atheist has a soul mate but doesn't really see it that way. Of course it could be that nobody has a soul mate because there is no evidence that anything called a soul exists.

I don't know - how do you define soulmate?
-
if they want to I guess get it depends on the individual belief
-
We do encounter occassionaly someone who seems to fill the bill.
-
No. Attraction is an emotion. Emotions are not based in science and if you can't quantify or prove that something exist than in their minds, it doesn't really exist. No Love, no god, no faith, no future for them. Atheist must be lonely since they are married and have children with someone that they can't love since love in not quantified as a scientific fact. I feel really sorry for them. They are hypocritical.

Atheists can believe in souls and still be atheists. Some do, and some don't. I've reached no conclusions regarding the soul but I don't believe in soul mates. I mean, just one person out of the whole world to make you happy? Seems unlikely.
-
That depends on whether you believe in soulmates.
-
Atheists doesn't acknoledge God existance, soul is a different thing.
-
Technically no. On the other hand, short of Adam and Eve, is there any Biblical support for the idea of soulmates?
-
neat question! i like it! btw, you also have too much time on your hands! . i wonder if, for atheists, they have solemates?
-
I know many atheists, some do believe in the concept of the soul, some dont, if that is what you are getting at. I guess there are different packages and plans of beliefs people adhere to.
