My doctor put me on MethylPrendnisolone, each tablet contain 4 mg. On the first day I have to take 6 pills...I have never taken this many pills in one day. Have you?

Yes; actually I take that many every day! I have had to take prednisone (sp?) when I've had allergic reactions before. I always felt kind of "puffy"; LOL, when I took it. Hope you're okay.

- No thanks; but you become a pro after a while! I can now take all 6 at once! I also take approximately 6 vitamins every morning too!

Thats in the steroid family so yes its very common. They taper you down one pill a day until gone. The first dose is like a mega dose. Its usually taken for arthritis or severe swelling from injuries. +5

I haven taken Prednisone treatments before for asthma problems; turns out they were allergies. The body's immune system is to be respected. ;)
