What is pride from the Bibles view point? Is it all sinful, or just part of it?

I believe it's two-fold. I take pride in doing the best I can. I don't brag. But say I verbally say "I am the best at this" and then mistake are found, this results in "Pride goeth before a fall" Poeple then see I'm just a braggart.
