like... it really wouldnt hurt the martians feelings. They been giving us all kinds of shit..all those alien movies, UFO spottings, its time they got served for it.
-
Depends on where in space you would send it. Floating it in space is too messy. Deposit it on a large asteroid would be ok.
-
If Nasa can leave all their junk in space then why can't we? Then again. Probably not. Most garbage we put in landfills is biodegradeable which would'nt be the case if we let our trash float around in outer space.
-
Well I don't think we are dumping into the ocean. But lets look at the space thing. . . Do you realize how much money that would cost? Way too much, we just couldn't afford it. On top of that we already have junk left in space from the space program and satililtes etc. That junk creates a small danger to our shuttle and other spacecraft in orbit. Imagine the danger if we just put it all in orbit. On top of that I'm sure there would have to be bad effects when the garbage re-enters the atmoshphere and burns up. Gasses in the atmosphere that we do not want.

and make Marvin The Martians home messy, no! We need to figure out a way to control the issue here.
-
The best place to send it would be directly at the sun, where it would all get totally incinerated! (and truly recycled!)
-
Of course it would. Lets s**t up our own planet, then, when theres no more room, oh, - there's the infinity of space. Brilliant idea, NOT
-
I think it would be unethical, but I do like psycho's and mike777's notion about aiming for the sun.

I personally have no problem with it; but, I do think that we can do a whole lot better with handling our trash here on earth.
