Much, much worse off than it was at the end of his first and second terms.
asking third world countries for help...
better than present....
...let's see:
Gas would probably top $5.00/gal on the average;
People would start to sneak into MEXICO--for a better life;
The ONE DOLLAR BILL--would probably be scarcely used, much like the PENNY. (Although, there wouldn't much difference in value!)
I'm going to hazard that it would be slightly better but not what you'd call golden.
What happened in Sweden and Iceland---the government had to take over all the banks.
We would've improved to the point that we'd forgotten many of the sacrifices needed to get to said point.
there wouldn't be ANY financial structure left at all... well third world countries would need one anyway and thats what the U.S. would have become, bloody Zimbabwe would have been the richest country on earth compaired to the U.S.
It would probably be the same or worse. We're dealing with Nancy Pelocis, Harry Reeds, Barney Franks, Christopher Dodds, Maxine Waters and Max Baucuses. Ah who knows - I think we need to go green and recycle the Congress.
It is a moot question. GWB would never have been elected for a second time in order to preside over a third term.
The same, we have the same federal chairman to make the important decisions
Much better. We'd probably have about 4.5% unemployment instead of almost 10%.
We wouldn't have the threat of a probable 20-30% unemployment hanging over our heads if cap-n-trade goes through.
We'd be SCREWED!
Especially those on a fixed income.
We'd be possibly in the same shape, but we'd have alot more HOPE then we do now...
Ever read the book (or see the movie) "Watchmen" by Alan Moore?
It would be like that, except we wouldn't have Dr. Manhattan to bail our collective asses out when things went south.

You're reading If George W. Bush had been allowed to run for a third presidential term and won, in what economic state would the United States financial structure be in at this point?
