Sometimes when people talk shit about other people, it's just because they don't like them. It's not always a deepseeded psychological issue. If I say "Ya know, Chuch is a real prick", it probably just means Chuck is prick. It doesn't mean deep down inside I hate myself, or that I miss my Father, or that I was abused or something.

depends, yes, Chuck is a real prick, is different from gossiping. Gossip generally makes the gossiper feel like he's better than others for just a moment. THey are getting attention and are saying"look at me, I'm not like that"..so, yes, I think they are jealous. Also, if someone was really a loser, or whatever, you would feel sorry for them, not gossip about them.

Nope, I think it probably just means they don't like them. I think people that say 'They are just jealous' are victims who say such things to comfort themselves, like people who say taking part is just as good as winning, obviously, they have never won, or they would KNOW it's not.
