As we get new technologies and methods of doing things, perhaps its time to discipline kids a different way as well. Spanking is o.k'ed by the government as long as it is with reasonable force ( not to hard) but what you think is reasonable might not be for someone else, so help stop a society of abused children and dont spank yours. You might have been spanked as a child, so now you have been taught to spank yours, please dont. * Over 80% of murders and serial killers were spanked as children

Children should never be spanked.A 'soft' slap on the face would be enough if you really have to strike them.Spanking children is sexual abuse and I think it should be illegal and have prison penalty.How can you smack their butt!?Riddiculus,DR my answer if you want,but if you spank a child,you deserve a good beating and 'at least' 5 years in jail.

When they stop needing it. I was spanked lots and so were three of my brothers and we are all productive, responsible members of society. My 4th brother, the youngest wasn't spanked because he came along much later and spanking was frowned on then. He is in prison.

'Should', 'would' and 'did' get different answers. Also, defining what 'spanking' is may change an answer too. Shows what a difficult question it is.
