How can I read and retrieve information from a .db file using PERL scripts?

    The best way is to use special routines written for the specific kind of database. Check the CPAN library and/or visit a Perl forum. Binary reading is an option, but it's hard to find data between the various control information. You need to have the DDL and all handy as well to know if a field is ASCII, binary, BCD, a BLOB etc.
