Hi Freedom00, this is really a question for a labor lawyer. It depends upon several variables. Does the company have a written policy? If there is not a written policy, is there "past practice" where other employees have been paid for accrued sick time when they separated from the company? Is he covered under a binding union contract? The organization I work for has a policy regarding sick time - use it or lose it. No pay whatsoever. I have worked for other companies which did provide pay for sick days. It varies by the company. You are a good friend to try to research information. +5
