Talking about God or not, it always comes down to WHY the person gave a DR. Is it because they believe in God and the other person doesn't? Or because they simply didn't like what the non-believer wrote? Slander, for example. I've noticed people complaining about getting DR'd, but their answer was a slap in the face to others. Not honest, but hostile.

No DR has a basis in logic. They are all silly. Because they are all silly there is no reason for them. People give DR's because they can, so they do. That's it. No other reason. The most benign questions/answers get DR'd. You cannot take a DR seriously...that which is silly should be ignored in my opinion..dismissed, discounted, devalued...you do that and you don't even notice them! :)

I don't think that's true. I think ppl get dr'ed for disrespecting the beliefs of others. Saying 'I don't believe' is one thing. Saying 'there IS no god, and anyone who disagrees with me is crazy/stupid' is quite another.

You don't get downrated just for not believing in God, you get downrated for saying this, because some people just downrate opinions with which they don't agree. Also, people could downrate you if you bring them to assume that you are what they understand under atheist, which is by this kind of people something quite negative. And certainly, they could downrate you if they get the impression that you attack or insult their beliefs, whatever it means. Some of your answers seem to have been downrated without deserving it. I just had a look at them.
