This really depends on what a car wash would cost in your area. Five dollars is fair for a simple wash and toweled dry.

Charge nothing. Ask for donations. (Sell hot dogs, water, soft drinks and snacks on the side.)

Sometimes leaving it up to the donator works best. Some few idiots will skate out on the cheap. But most folks are willing to go the extra mile.
