Yes, that would be my Irish...he is a chef by profession, but we live in a very small community with a limited number of restaurants (2, to be exact, neither of which is hiring) which even begin to approach his level of expertise; the coffee-shop owners here have told him flat out that he's overqualified for their needs, the chains don't want to hire anyone with taste, brains or expertise, and driving to a larger market (Little Rock) is out of the question because of the pay scale--not worthwhile to drive 60+ miles daily for $8.00/hr....thank you, Bill Clinton....

You live in AR? I just had a friend move from AR and she said the jobs were few and the pay was horrible. I think they rate like 49th in salary from other states. I know people with college degrees that can't even get jobs at fast food because they are too "smart" or overqualified. Thank you
