Wife is a pro at using a slow cooker. She states to use 1/4 more liquid to allow for evaporation. She must be right. she can cook a whole meal in a slow cooker overnight.

I always use a lot less as more liquid seems to come from whatever you are cooking and has nowhere else to go other than back into the dish.
