why do you say mock execution? because he knew it would happen? I much more so glorious. That he would willfully lay down his life for us. "He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so opened he not his mouth" Acts 8:32 He is Gods son he could have stopped it. But there was no other way. Mark:" 35And he went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him. 36And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible unto thee; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what thou wilt. "

I just can't see the so-called "great sacrifice" of this biblical personage called Jesus. He new before hand he was going to be resurrected three days later. I could see any significance in his vicarious action if he would have died and stay dead. There was already a celestial arrangement between him and his celestial dad. So what is the merit of that orchestrated circus?
