  • I think after age 35 the chances of birth defects become more likely and increase after this point. Many women do have healthy, normal pregnancies at age 35 and beyond but the child is more likely to have chromosomal disorders, such as Down Syndrome. So I guess after 35 you should make sure to discuss risks with your doctor before trying to get pregnant.
  • Before her menopause, I do not agree with women older than what would be a natural timespan being artificially impregnated. Birth defects certainly become more of a risk with older women but if they can conceive naturally who are we to say they should not. Even if it is not the most advisable option
  • Here at india (kerala).A lady after 65 years ,after menopause , got pregnant , in a fertility clinic. Unfortunately her first son died in an an accident at the age of two. Now she is trying for second time
  • The woman's body is built with an internal time clock. I don't think we should mess with that. Yes, even if the woman is 25 and barren... there's a REASON she can't conceive a child. Why must we play with fate? If you want a child and are barren, there are plenty of children in this country and others who would love to be adopted by a caring family. **edit...   • I would say no later than her early 40's. She wants to be around to raise them, and possibly see a grandchild. Even early forties is pushing that envelope a bit, but if it is her last child it would be okay.
