I'm applying for a company that has several placement regions that I have to choose from. I'm particularly interested in Houston, Phoenix and the San Fran Bay Area. Which is best for pets/money/charm? Low crime rates and diverse culture?

San Fran Bay Area is VERY expensive to live in but it is a fantastic city I would definatly check housing prices in all of them. Here is an example of the housing pricing in San Francisco http://realtor.com/Prop/1076523656 Its a tiny 432 square foot STUDIO for $369,000 Thats CRAZY! In Phoenix for that amount gets you http://www.realtor.com/Prop/1077264885 Phoenix is a growing city with alot to do but gets sizzling hot. Now in Houston you can damn near get a mansion for that http://www.realtor.com/Prop/1077618079 I havent been to Houston so I couldnt tell you much but that house sure beats a 432 square foot condo. Here is a website that compares all of the citys statistics like crime schools etc. http://www.bestplaces.net/ Hope it helps!
