Do you thithe based on your income or just give a set amount every week?

"Tithing" literally means "one tenth", so I give 10% of my income as tithing. I donate additional money, as able, to help even more of the poor and needy.

To tell you the truth. I don't tithed per se. I give whatever God puts in my mind and then I ask God to give me circumstances in which I can help people with my money. But, I prefer to give the money to a needy person or something else instead of giving everything to the church.

Since I do not belong to any particular religious denomination, I don't tithe. I give to whatever charity or person which I feel most worthy in terms of actually helping people as opposed to building a large or powerful organization. Everything I have comes from God, and indeed still belongs to God, so I give time, money, possesions ... however much is needed.
