If you don't believe in gravity, and you jump off a building, will you fall and hit the ground. Yes. You might not believe in something, but it doesn't mean you are right, or that it doesn't affect you.
Cause I dont take any notice of voodoo I wouldnt even know if I have been cursed or spelled!!
I think they do not work if you do not believe in them. But, so far, I haven't been the target of one, so I could be wrong.
It depends. Some things are about the faith and require belief in Vodun or some religion in order to be effective. Some things are psychological and have been developed over thousands of years of trial and error. Some things are very much physical and scientific.
In other words, whether or not a curse or spell works depends on an individual's susceptibility and whether or not physical-realm medicine was used.
For instance, some time ago, I had a friend who had "snakes in his stomach". He wasn't cursed, but he may as well have been. His home town's water system got some decaying frogs caught in it and he and many people in his family and town got sick because of it. The toxin wasn't something that the doctors knew how to treat, so these people would have died painfully were it not for a Voodoo priest in Texas who knew how to fix it.
So these people may not have been cursed by Voodoo, but they were certainly cured by it.
No; you have to believe it can harm you, but Voodoo sorcerers (Bokors) can make traditional poisons, and no belief is required for these to be effective. About curses, etc; they can only hurt you if you believe in them, but this disbelief must go clear down to your subconscious.
Any ideas what could go into Black mus powder ? I Thought perhaps goffer dust, gunpowder or even chhimney soot ?
