Help answer this question below.
I have been in Customer/Field service for the majority of my life (I'm 62). I would make your interviewer aware of my success in other companies also, in this field, concern for the customers' interests is equally important. If you present your credentials as an indication that you "got one over" the customer, it would go against you. If you present them with a description of how you helped your customers and made them feel comfortable with you company, it will act to your benefit.
I have done this work in the military, government, and civilian life and have always seem myself as the customer's advocate. If you present yourself in the same way you should be successful. If you are not, maybe the company isn't good for you. Marketing is about relationships (unless you're a drug dealer or lawyer). If you properly build relationships, sales come naturally.

You are welcome. Remember, it is about the customer, not yourself. I have sacrificed a good bit of time making sure that the customer's problems are corrected and I have never suffered for it. The most problems happen when the customer is disappointed or mis-informed. They can be very vindictive if they feel cheated, I know that I am. Good luck and how about some points.

I wonder what I said that deserved a couple down ratings. Was this bad advice? Or, this from some troll that follows me around because it doesn't like my politics?

Okay, I just gave you some points!

Thanks but I wasn't really fishing for points. I would really like to understand the motivation of people who do these thing. I know that when I was new here, I would read questions and answers and rate them, mostly without comment because I was trying to read too many things. I later learned how "un-helpful" that was. Maybe the DR's are from novices that don't know any better.
