  • I don't like using CD either. Cassette tapes were so dependable as well as vinyl. We're seeing vinyl come back -- yay!.
  • Don't know but sure do have a lot of scratchie old vinyl's :)
  • I will always take the vinyl. I think the sound is a lot better. +5
  • I do agree! you are right indeed! :-/
  • I agree with the point you made.. Although there are places you can take scratched CD's and they use some sort of liquid to fill the scratches, But at a price... The place near me it's £5 a CD!
  • Yeah, but the better quality and the fact that it's one thrid the size makes up for it. And CDs can have a lot of scratches and still function well enough. They don't just "fail" completely. Well, most of them don't. I had one CD that got a single scratch and became worthless...just one.
  • I agree. I did like vinyl and still prefer cassette to CD's.
  • Yes I agree but the sound quality and convenience makes up for that. Soon CDs will probably be obsolete as well, which makes me kind of sad. I love having a digital music collection but at the same time I used to love the whole process of getting a new CD. You can't wait to get home and unwrap it to listen to it repeatedly until you know every track off by heart. The times they are a-changin!
  • Yes I agree! As I was old enough to remember vinyl and young enough to embrace CD's, I was gutted when my INXS CD, Listen Like Thieves (The very first one I bought), came out of the wrapper with a scratch. I got a replacement one but I was still gutted thinking that the CD was supposed to be indestructable (I believe we were told they could be fried like an egg but still be able to play) Of course now with the cheaper CD's, it's hit or miss whether they play at all these days
  • I sure baby mine and I already threw out my tapes. +5
