  • yes. she took many pregnancy tests including being tested at the doctors office. all came back negative for months, finally i guess the baby started moving, or she was in painor sick or something that finally convinced doctors to do an ultrasound (they were checking her kidneys actully) and found she was! good luck! insist on blood testing if necessary!
  • That happened to my mom, actually. She was pregnant with my younger sister and all the home pregnancy tests were negative. This being her fourth child, she had some sort of motherly instinct. She went to the doctor, and they also told her she wasn't pregnant and wanted to give her some medication to make her menstruate. She refused because she knew she was pregnant.
  • Yes, your hormones might not be built up enough for the test to register yet. You need to see a doctor and have them do a blood test.
  • Yes. If the person ovulated late in her cycle, it is possible that the hormone detected by the home test kits may not have reached a high enough level to register a positive result. This happened to me with my first daughter. We were 'trying' and tested negative a couple days before I expected my menses, so I figured we'd try again the next month. But a week later when I still hadn't gotten my period I took another test which gave a positive result!
  • Yep, it happened to me with all three of my pregnancies. The first time I had to wait about 8 weeks before getting a positive urine test. The second time I was pregnant with twins. This time two blood tests were returned negative but I was certain I was pregnant. The third blood test was taken at about 7 weeks and was returned positive. With my third pregnancy I wasn't at all surprised when I didn't test positive until the after 7 weeks.
