Of course, you would wear a condom!! Then make sure your partner is totally relaxed!!! try giving a nice, leisurely back rub and body massage; don't forget to massage the legs, too!! Be loving and tender and take your time with every step......make sure you are both lubed up really, really well, and of course only use lubricants made for condoms; that is, NO oil-based lubes, strictly water-soluble!! You could start by using your finger inside for starters, but again, be gentle..you can use a condom on your finger, or best of all, use Cling Wrap..it's very strong and yet pliable, and will 'give' during the finger's penetration....I almost wonder if you could use it instead of a condom, but I don't know for sure!!! You're going to have to discuss that with your partner. Different bottoms prefer different approaches. Some will want you to be gentle and "romantic". Others will want you to be rough. When I let a guy fuck me, for example, I want him to brutally rape me long, hard and deep with no lube, and to make it hurt. I get off on the pain and humiliation. Other guys would be turned off by this. So, really, there's no way of knowing how to please your partner without asking him first.
