Check the contract you signed with company A (if you signed one), to ensure that there's no .... non-compete clause in it. A non-compete clause is where one party (usually an employee) agrees to not pursue a similar profession or trade in competition against another party (usually the employer) ... for a certain amount of time - usually during employment with the company or for a certain time after terminating employment with that company, etc. A friend of mine was taken to court over this, lost, and had to pay 'damages'.
