  • try burning the herb mullein in a dish ., it actually heals damaged lungs ,,, and beleive it or not , most people smoke it like a cigarette. i know that's hard to wrap your head around , but it is the most direct topical treatment to the affected area . (the same way smoke etc got there . natives have been using mullein for years because of their smoke filled environment and the toll on their lungs . it is actually good for you , many that quit smoking just roll this stuff in a tube ,,, you smoke less , and it has no ill effects and is good for your lungs , can even halt an asthma attack . check it out , google " mullein smoke " or mullein lungs etc...
  • That happened to me years ago when I gave up, not sure what it is but it like your lungs are so used to the smoke that they have some kind of withdraw from it. But it wont last, they will appreciate it in the end :)
  • Its actually called Chronic bronchitis. Depending on the length of time you smoked will determine how long this will last (if not forever). When you smoke, you paralyze the cilia (the little tiny finger-like fibers in your airway) that help move normal mucus and secretions out of the lungs. When you quit smoking, these fibers "wake up" and begin to actively and aggressively move all of that mucus that your trapped in your lungs. Sometimes the mucus won't come out and it is trapped. You may benefit from albuterol treatments (inhaler).
