A definition I found of Atheism: Atheism entails, minimally, the disbelief in the existence of any deities. It is contrasted with theism, the belief in a God or gods. Atheism is commonly defined as the positive belief that deities do not exist, or as the deliberate rejection of theism. However, others define atheism as the simple absence of belief in deities (cf. nontheism), thereby designating all agnostics, and people who have never heard of gods, such as newborn children, as atheists as well. In recent years, some atheists have adopted the terms strong and weak atheism to clarify whether they consider their stance one of positive belief (strong atheism) or the mere absence of belief (weak atheism). If any of the above fit you, then perhaps yes. Also, it might be that you are still unsure. Give yourself more time before making a decision :)

Not really. If god does not play a significant part in your life, then probably you are "adiophoric" indifferent, tolerant.

Yes you are an atheist. The definition of atheism is no belief in god, you don't know wheter you should believe it or not, so you definately don't truly believe in god, therefore you are an atheist. But you could consider yourself as "weak atheists" or "agnostic atheist", because you don't believe that god NOT exists on the other side either. A strong atheist would be convinced that god doesn't exist.

To be absolutely correct you would be called an Agnostic, one who thinks it impossible to know the truth in matters such as God and religion. You are not an Atheist, by definition and Atheist os someone who affirms the non-existence of God in their own mind. I think there are many people in the western world who are the same, How do we know that their is a God? Apart from an old book that has been translated loads if times what other proof is there?

You don't have the luxury of being an athiest. There is no such thing. At some level of consciousness every person knows that God is real. You cannot escape it. If something bad happened and you were about to die the first thing you would say is "God help me". You would say it without even thinking because somewhere within you is the fundamental idea of God--your creator. You can never get away from him because you are temporary and he is infinite. It's that simple.
