The answer is simple but radical: God didn't create them, or anybody else. We don't know exactly why people are homosexual, but we know our values, and our values say they're entitled to the same respect and rights as anyone. Once people start claiming that they know God created people and had some plan, it's a short hop to getting onto a soapbox and telling everybody else to line up with that plan. One step up from that is religious tyranny.

Unfortunately, homophobia and hypocrisy are rife among self-styled "Christians", and for many of them, there is little else to their religious lives than rabid fag-bashing. Charity, humility and service to others have long ago fallen by the wayside. My generation (I'm 16) is rejecting Christianity on a large scale. Christianity will soon be a minority religion in the US, and fundamentalist evangelicals and pentacostals will again be fringe groups that are ignored or abhorred by the bulk of society.
