Question

My mom is going through the change of life. Her mother never told her anything about it, and is suffering and scared. They don't have health insurance and the doctors where she lives don't do payment plans. Any advice on menopause that could help her?

She can relax. It's alright. She will be just fine. Sure there may be symptoms of discomfort but just as there is for girls when they receive their period for the first time. Expect her to get occasional hot flashes, which is just feeling hot generally at night, they come and go, no biggie and expect some hormonal changes such as a mood swings. Natural supplements and Hormone therapy is your best bet to ease the symptoms, but she will be ok, just do some research regarding these natural supplements and hormone therapy. Be there to comfort her, it is just a way of our bodies telling us, when we reach a certain age, that you can't have children anymore, by stopping our period. That's that. It's ok, every woman will get there someday :) Live it up! Youre still young honey! Go out date and enjoy your years! :)

I'm only 25 years old,but I know a little about hormone therapy,so that may help her out a bit.Tell her that there are some home remedies that are supposed to induce hormonal balance.I get dermal vitamins over the counter that help me with my bad PMS and cycles. She might be able to find something similer over the counter? I hope that she can find some relief. Good luck with that. +5
