Too funny. I was just looking at the question *What's is your favorite line in a movie?* One of the posts fits this perfectly. I think "that womans cheese done fell off of her cracker"

Cats and dogs are too dissimilar genetically to produce young. Dogs and cats are not just different species, they are also of different genuses and families. (In order for two organisms to be considered the same species, they must be able to bread and produce fertile offspring. The fact that cats and dog are two degrees of separation beyond even species makes if very unlikely that they would even be able to produce offspring together.

Oh, that woman. Don't worry, she's the Crazy Cat Woman. She has 67 cats in her house, and she *talks* to them. Impressing, huh.. Stay away from her, hun, she *bites*! (But really, no, of course not, lol.)

That's the kind of woman that may tell you that she talked to the ghost of Elvis Presley and that she was at Dallas when JFK was shot and saw something weird at the grassy knoll...

As a biochemist I am telling you that this is completely impossible. If you remember back to your high school biology class, they mentioned how every human being has 23 chromosome pairs. In order for a human being to successfully create a child, they must recombine their chromosomes with another human that has 23 pairs also. All living things have chromosomes as well, except that the number of pairs they have is not 23. Dogs have 39 chromosome pairs. Cats have 19 chromosome pairs. Even if you could get the two animals to complete the act (yikes) the fertilization would be unsuccessful. I hope this answers your question.
