    empty out some of the messages. to elaborate more, a phone has a limited memory for messages, some phones do it by total message size, so 20 big ones may fill you up, or 50 small ones. Others have slots,eg 15 - that can hold any size messages up to that number. When they are full, there is nothing you can do but to empty out some of the messages, or you will not be able to receive more.
