In the radio, a lot of commercials advertise the "going back to school" with parents expressing super joy and happiness for seeing their kids leave to school after the long summer. Do you think you were a burden as a child during the summer?

Of course I don't think I was a burden to my parents; I was their pride and joy. But it does say something about our society that children seem to be an interruption of the important things their parents are doing. How do these kinds of ideas get started; where do they come from? I love my kids and don't consider having them around the house a burden. I find it a joy. So what's up with this twisted attitude in our society?

No, as most days I was out all day with my friends anyway, and only went home for meals and at bed-time.

I know I wasn't but I do have some friends that were probably considered as burdens. Perhaps the parents didn't know how to raise the child so their child is not acting the way they hoped they were supposed to.

Kind of like when a pet owner finds their pet more troublesome then originally thought but it's possible because the pet owner themselves didn't train their pet properly.
