I gather mine in a basket.:)
I don't have to buy them! I have chickens at home and we get fresh eggs. Yummy. They have ruined me for storebought eggs. Though on Easter we buy white eggs to color because our brown eggs just turn a sort of muddy color. Those usually come in styrofoam cartons.
Cardboard. I have never seen them come in Styrofoam and I am not sure we even have that here.
Both...It depends on where I shop.

Mine are paper mache from Aldi, they were styrofoam till this summer. One dozen is $.79 the last time i bought 11-3-2009.
This time they were in cardboard. I buy what ever is cheap.
Cardboard. Can't remember the last time I saw a styrofoam carton.
Neither fresh from the feathered ass
If they cost the same or similar I buy the cartoon, because it gets recycled.

cardboard....I don't buy styrofoam
When we buy eggs, they are in cardboard containers; most of the time they come from our son's chickens in the cardboard containers that we recycled from the store bought eggs. A long winded +4

Styrofoam, Egglands Best
never styrofoam, if they are in clear plastic I move them into cardboard as I kept one.
