I would say because of global warming that the storms are more frequent.Also scientists and people from NATO went to the north pole to take ice core samples.They now figure that within 50 years there will be no more ice in the arctic.Because of it the sun will not reflect off of it and the temperatures will rise.Also the ocean would have risen flooding all coastal cities.

Well, could be, albeit, I think we're staying home and watching more TV so we're noticing. We have info on TV, Newspaper, Internet, and our phones. But in Texas, there does seem to be merit to the question.
