That has never happened to me alwayscurious. Has it happened to you? I took mine off of my profile because of men ABers were saying "naughty" stuff to me in them. +5

I've been using Answerbag for a couple of years now and I've heard of too many examples of members being harassed and abused by email for me to permanently display my address. Anybody, member or not, can access our profiles so I just don't think it's worth the potential hassle. I have put it on there for a few minutes during a conversation in Comments a couple of times for a particular person to find, but that's the most I would do.

I never thought of that. I have gotten some weird e-mails and I can attribute them to no one here. At least no one who has an e-mail address that I can recognize. This e-mail address is only associated with this account. I'm taking mine down. bye +5

It's that cherry, Love, that causes those e-mails. My Lightning Bolt scares them away, LOL. My very best +4 I will be sending you an e-mail because yesterday I noticed something very erotic.

i just removed mine from my profile because the "girlfriend" of one of my AB friends started harrassing me, when i posted my email address i wasn't thinking about mentaly unstable people contacting me because they are off of their meds and lost in their delusional world...

No, I don't have my e-mail address on display for that very reason and I never open mail from people I don't know. There has been a few times when I've posted my e-mail on my profile for a few minutes, to give it to a friend, then taken it back down. By the time anyone else wants to take a look - it's gone. There was a time, in the past, when I wasn't so guarded about my e-mail and it cost me a computer. :( +5

I do not have any e mail id on my profile and have peace of mind.I do not disturb others as well+5

I've had at least one person e-mail me who is not a member on here, but was looking for help with his relationship problems. We talked quite a bit. He wanted someone to talk to, but didn't want to spill his problems all over here for everyone to see. I didn't mind helping him at all. It was nice to be trusted that much by someone I didn't even know or interact with prior to him sending me the first e-mail he did...

Never happened to me, no. 5+ Good question. :)

Naughty pictures get naughty posters I suppose. Also the scourge of the email crawlerscraper bot is upon us so any site with your email openly displayed will lead to you getting spammed or a multitude of Nigeria scam letters or worse.
