How come a tampon leaks?

Every substance has a limit of absorbing. If a tampon absorbs fluids up to that limit, it can't absorb anymore, so the tampon starts leaking. (This may be the reason, but I'm not sure.) Another probable reason is that you may not have placed it correctly.

It's on overload! Too much liquid, and no absorbtion left. Change often, especially in the first two-three days of your period.
