Is it possible to copy music from an ipod, back on to a computer if it crashes and all the memory is lost?

Yes. I did that with mine. I bought a new iPod and had to transfer from my old iPod to my comp then to my new one. I found a free program (can't remember the name) that just asked where I wanted the songs and transferred them all. Then I had to import them all into iTunes and transfer them all to my new iPod.
