• Also make sure you have a good anit virus program. I use Norton antivirus.

• I have a free program on mine, it's a good one (Anti-Malware) but haven't used it in a while..keep forgetting about it.

• If it's a good one it is turned on all the time and will alert you if you are being attacked. I have had that happen once or twice. I also have it set to run at pre set times during the week. Your Windows programs can let you do that.
  I have a tracking cookie it finds every week and then I tell it to remove it. The cookie is actually my home page website which is counting the times I use it and use links it contains. It's my County and City website.

• No, it don't show any warnings. I would usually do a check every week, but have been busy and forgot. I used to have some virus threats on here, but this program i use got rid of them

• Oh... @Joy you really must run anti-malware program regularly. I have this program installed too. It will help you a great deal to prevent hacking.
  
  What I did to avoid forgetting to run it, I placed a label (made by the label maker) on the face on my computer.
  My answer also is YES it's very possible. Like people here answered to you - never open an attachment from people you don't know.

  To avoid getting your fone hijacked, your best not to leave your phone unattended but it you do, take the battery out so it can't have the spyware installed.

• I know that now about the cell phone hacking(via email sent to me). I never leave my phone anywhere when i'm out, i keep it in my pocket.
