How long will a cigarette burn if it's not smoked?

with the new chemical they have added to many brands.... if not smoked, I think now in less than a minute it will go out.

Only when smoke is drawn from the other end the fire can sustain itself with fresh oxygen flow. If not smoked it will go out after burning for another millimeter or so.

I've seen them burn for more than an inch until there was nothing left but the ashes.
