No. Friedman was referring to an 'equal playing ground' but of course the world is flat, but tilted. There are workers in India getting paid about a dollar per hour for making clothes that sell for hundreds. The best rebuttal to Friedman came from Greg Palast in his book 'Armed Madhouse'.
