To each his own.

I think it's awesome! A world without humor is NOT a world I want to be in. And to have a sense of humor, even in death, is great. And it may be thereputic to her family to do such a thing! "Don't take life too seriously; You'll never get out alive!" ~Van Wilder (or said writer of the movie, OR wherever he got said quote from...)

It is funny. I just hope no one gets confused and really parks a car there.

that is so sweet that her nephew was able to give her a request she asked for so I think its very noble of him to have done that for her and I hope my family does for me what I have talked to them about when my death comes and they respect my wishes as nicely as hers were
-
Very nice and she had a good sense of humor. Glad her nephew was able to honor her in that way.

Cool.... when I die I have my mason Jar ready with eye's painted on it so I can watch the party that I requested!! :)

I think its awesome! We did something like that for my son's stone. He was a mustang guy all his life, and though he left us at a young age, he finally had his dream car shortly before leaving. A mustang cobra. The artist who did his stone not only did his face, including his tats!, but also a striking cobra, which signifies the obvious.

that is very awesome. grandma's for the win!

That's awesome! I just hope my funeral plans are possible when my time comes. I have to look into the legalities, I suppose. I want a Viking funeral, complete with canoe and flaming arrows.
-
that's great!i dig that alot.it's fitting and original enough.

I think it is pretty funny. I'd be tempted to go put a quarter in there, park myself there and meditate.

That is absolutely brilliant!! I think humour is a must with death, it helps in a great way. Just think her kids must go to the grave very upset, see the parking meter and instantly remember her humour and fun times rather than staring at a cold formal head stone +4

While this may seem like a really "cool" and clever idea, you'd better check around and find a cemetery which allows a lot of variation from traditional monuments. I'd be surprised if you find more than a handful of cemeteries - excepting very small or family cemeteries "off the breaten path" that would even consider your idea. Most cemeteries seem to be very specific regarding what is and is not allowed, sometimes even banning artificial flowers/plants, or the length of time and times that they may be placed on graves. Your idea may be clever and humorous, but most cemeteries don't "go" for clever and humorous. Good luck, anyway.

I think it's a hoot! I love the idea! +5
