I have always been fascinated by the Egyptian civilization.
Mayans, Incas and Greeks are interesting too.
It's a toss up between (pre Roman Empire) Etruscians and Egypt. Of course China, they were amazing inventors. They all contributed in their own way.
Well I'm somewhat biased, but my own country Malta has always fascinated me. Being bang in the middle of the Mediterranean, it came under the influence of so many cultures, and all left their mark. So, within an island smaller than most large cities, we have temples older and more complete than Stonehenge, fascinating underground complexes, Roman era buildings and artwork, Arab-influenced architecture and a very rich heritage left by the Knights, not to mention more recent ones like the Brits.
Maya, Greek, Sumerians. All of those. Others also but those are my top 3.
Egyptian. They are still finding things that they can't figure out how they managed to accomplish.
