The Lawyer. Lots of cops BS things to intimidate you, sad but true.

If its about the law, The lawyer should know more.

Following a serious assault on his friend. My grandson was involved in a playground scuffle and the police were informed by one childs mother, thinking to get compensation. All the boys involved were told if they gave truthful statements they would be cautioned so they didnt need lawyers. they all made detailed statements admitting their part in it.They were all hauled into court and the police on the witness stand denied the promises they made. none of the boys were ever in trouble before and previously had no reason to doubt police. None of them trust them any more.they were naive. The boy involved in the original assault denied it and as the boy assaulted was hit with a baseball bat and knocked out, no charges were brought., as there were no other witnesses. Personally I would now trust the lawyer.not the police.
