My xbox 360's av cords are no longer working, they play sound but not picture, the HDTV cords display picture but only black and white, have i blown the AV circuit?

If your system in less than 3 years old you can call microsoft give them the number that is on your system and they will check it(no receipt required. They will fix it free of charge.
