No, people will say anything to avoid being tortured.

You never know ... What information do you need that you will torture someone? =) If I was locked in a room with a Destiny's Child CD playing over and over again I'd pretty much say anything to get out of there. (Oh and anything by Mariah Carey would do the trick as well.)

About as accurate as a medieval confession. Come to think of it that is how they obtained confessions back then.

I don't think so. I would probably admit to anything if I was being hurt enough. There are other means besides cruelty.
