We should only be so lucky but unfortunately I doubt it. Real music seems to have all but gone away. Everything is so digital and computer created that real talent semms to be dissapearing.

An opinionated question like that is very hard to answer. Many say there are many bands like Led Zeppelin, even better. Many say Led Zeppelin was never that good. Personally, I feel it is a large exadgeration to say the are the greatest rock band in history.

There will be those who try to imitate, but the music that once was will never be again.

Not the greatest, no such thing as greatest. Probably my favourite band of the period though and one of my all time greats, I am a HUGE fan. But it is all subjective.

I think these days music is not as much geared towards virtuosity so a band like Zep is unlikely. I struggle to think of current bands that could match Zep (or Cream, Purple, Hendrix, Floyd etc etc etc) in terms of musicianship. It seems a dirty word these days. Muse can play to be fair but the combination in Zep was one of the most gifted guitarists of his day, an amazing front man, the all round master that is John Paul Jones and well... what can be said about the late great John Bonham that has not been said a million times before? If anyone can mention a band that can play like they could (or any of the other great technically gifted bands) I would be interested in hearing from you! :)

I totally hate Led Zeppelin, they sound like one of the worst bands ever! As soon as one of their songs comes on the radio I have to get up and turn it off right away!

Never - The time place and music is unique. There may someday be better bands, but doubtfully the lasting effect...

Music in general changes over the generations. I personally believe that music today in most genre's aren't as significant as they were from the 60s to the 90s.

Too many break through groups in that era. Everyone from the Beatles to Nirvana.

Im not sure im agreeing that they were THE greatest but they were pretty damn great. I dont think there will ever be another Led Zep. or Beatles or Rolling Stones or Floyd or any of the great 70's/60's rock bands. Things arent the same now, music just isnt the same. I dont just mean the music itself, i mean the entire culture around music-- the freedom and creativity has gone. Events are so highly organized and structure. Most of the fun's gone now...
Shame today's generation will never know the real rock n roll.

I hate to say it but i find they have been surpassed by many of todays rock/metal, due to the techniques and styles we have nowadays.
