Is there anyway that I can make my laptop screen work? My screen faded and can barely be seen. It is not the bright level. I connected my tv lcd to it and it worked as a monitor but the screen monitor in laptop can barely be seen.

It sounds as if the lamps are going, especially since it works on an external monitor. Very expensive to have repaired, continue using an external monitor or buy a new laptop unless you are handy at repairs and can get the spare parts possibly second-hand.

I concur; the backlight is shot. Unless you have mad skills and more dexterity than I have, your only chance is to take it to a laptop repair shop. On the plus side, it's fairly inexpensive compared to a new laptop (usually under $250) so it *may* be worth your while.
