That's a good thought. I've never felt like the consolation prize to or for anyone. BUT when I've seen such shows like the Bachelor, and kicking people off the island, etc. I wonder why people set themselves up. I could never see me as one of 30 women going after a guy I know nothing about, him kissing and whatever with the other 29, and then asking me to marry him on tv. Insane. +4

avoid double dates with a super hot friend. if theres no one there to make you look bad, you;ll be the trophy.

Have enough self respect to avoid the situation in the first place. If you find yourself in it already, tell the other person you deserve more than to be the consolation prize. If you don't stick up for you, who will?
